AI4Foodies: Connect Your AI Assistant

What you can do

Connect once and your assistant works on your side of Food4Foodies: as a Foodie, as a Chef, or both. Ask it to switch any time ("switch to Chef").

As a Foodie

Find food near you. Dishes, bundles and Tiffins near an address, town or ZIP you name, or a craving ("something spicy and vegetarian").
Browse. A Chef's full menu and Tiffin menus, and near you: food trucks (open now or next), Event4Foodies events and Chef@Home Chefs. Order from a food truck right in the chat; see an event's booths or book Chef@Home in the app.
Order. Your assistant builds the order and gives you a secure Food4Foodies pay link for each Chef. You pay there by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Delivery or pickup. A delivery quote before you order, and a live tracking link after.
Follow up. Order status and history, and cancelling while it's still allowed.

As a Chef

Start selling. Turn your Foodie account into a Chef account by asking.
Set up your kitchen. Profile, address, bio and tagline, step by step.
Build your menu. From a photo, a PDF, a link or a description. You approve every dish before it goes live. Bundles, Tiffin menus and availability too.
Trucks, events, Chef@Home. Open or close your truck, plan stops, join events and add your event menu.
Get verified and paid. Secure Food4Foodies links for your identity check and payouts. Your bank details never pass through the chat.
Run today's orders. See new orders and Tiffin requests, accept, mark ready, decline and message customers. Ask it to check for you every hour.

Ready-made tasks

Your assistant lists these when you connect: Find food near me, Set up my kitchen, Add my menu from a photo or file, Check my F4F orders and messages and Open or close my food truck.

You stay in control. Your assistant never pays and never sees your card: you pay on Food4Foodies' own page. It sees your email and phone only partly hidden. It asks you before cancelling, declining or starting to sell. Prices and availability are always checked by Food4Foodies, never taken from the chat. Disconnect it any time.

VS Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other MCP tools

Add Food4Foodies as a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the address above. Tools that support sign-in ask you to sign in the first time; most config files look like this:

A tool that can't sign in can use a key from the app instead (below). The Gemini app can't add connectors yet; Gemini CLI can.

Signing in or creating an account

Connecting always opens Food4Foodies' own sign-in page, never a form inside the chat.

Already have an account? Sign in with your phone number and the code we text you, or with your email and password. Use the same account as the app.
New to Food4Foodies? Choose Create account: your phone number, the code we text you, whether you'll mostly order or sell, and the Terms. You can do both with one account and switch any time.
Finishing setup. Anything left (a verified email, a Chef's identity check or payouts) comes as a short-lived Food4Foodies link your assistant gives you.

From the app: Connected assistants

In the app, open Account, then Connected assistants (older versions of the app call it Developer access). It's there on both the Foodie and the Chef side.

See your connections. Every assistant you've connected, the side it's on and when it was last used.
Disconnect. Tap Disconnect and it stops working right away. Connections left unused for a while disconnect on their own.
Connecting doesn't start in the app. Add Food4Foodies in your AI tool as above and sign in with the same phone number; the connection then shows up here.

Making a key for a tool that can't sign in

Some tools only take a fixed key, such as Claude Desktop's config file. For those:

Open Connected assistantsAccount, then Connected assistants, then Advanced: create a key manually.

Choose its side and nameChefs choose whether the key starts on the Foodie or the Chef side. A name is optional, like "Claude Desktop".

Create key, then copy itThe key (it starts with f4f_live_) is shown only once. Copy it or share it to your computer right away.

Add it to your toolSend it as a header, Authorization: Bearer followed by the key, to the same address.

For Claude Desktop, add this to claude_desktop_config.json (it needs Node.js) and paste your key in place of the placeholder:

VS Code and Cursor take it as "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer f4f_live_..." } next to the address.

Keep your key like a password. It can do only what assistants can do, and never shows your full email or phone, but anyone who has it can act on your account. If it might have leaked, disconnect it in the app and make a new one. Like any connection, it also stops working after a while unused; make a new one then.

Good to know

Where am I? AI assistants don't share your phone's location. Tell yours an address, town or ZIP.
What does it cost? Connecting is free. Your assistant's own usage counts toward your Claude or ChatGPT plan.
New Terms. When our Terms change, your assistant tells you, with a link to accept them. It can't accept them for you.
